Just when you thought politics and political campaigning couldn't be dumbed down any more, I was shocked to find (but shouldn't have been shocked to find) that last night's MSNBC debate amongst the Democratic candidates for U.S. president actually had a "Lightning Round."

I say we let Simon Cowell moderate the next debate.
